Title: Graphic Designer Consultant About ABAAD ABAAD Resource Center for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD advocates for the development and implementation of policies and laws that enhance womens effective participation, through a rights-based approach that would bring about tangible change to gender justice. With the purpose of ending gender-based violence, ABAAD adopts a holistic care approach to provide protection and support services to GBV survivors/right holders during times of peace, war and disasters since 2011. 1. Background ABAAD is implementing the project Walking Towards Safety: Fostering Child Protection & Mitigating Child Sexual Abuse in Lebanon, which aims to strengthen child protection systems by building local leadership, enhancing civil society capacity, and establishing sustainable, evidence-based community mechanisms to prevent and respond to child abuse. The initiative aligns with global localization and sustainability efforts and reflects the Kingdom of the Netherlands strategic focus on community-rooted responses to gender-based violence and child protection challenges. In support of the projects communication, advocacy, research dissemination, and capacity-strengthening components, ABAAD seeks to engage a Graphic Designer to produce branded and high-quality visual materials. 2. Purpose of the Assignment The Graphic Designer will develop visual outputs that enhance visibility, understanding, and accessibility of project materials. These include project branding elements, research and policy brief designs, child protection toolkit layouts, call-for-participation assets, and puppetry curriculum visuals. The designer will ensure all outputs are visually cohesive, aligned with ABAADs branding, and accessible to intended audiences. 3. Scope of Work The Graphic Designer will be responsible for: A. Project Branding Develop visual branding for the project, including: Project announcement Leaflets and promotional material PowerPoint presentation template and slides Ensure a cohesive visual identity that reflects the projects objectives and target audiences. B. Research and Policy Brief Design Design the layout for the: National research report Five sector-specific policy papers (Education, Social Affairs, Health, Justice, Communication & Media) Ensure the design enhances readability of tables, charts, and infographics. Provide print-ready and digital versions in professional formats. C. Child Protection Toolkit & Call for Participation Design Layout design for the standardized child protection curriculum. Design visual call-for-participation materials for the Training of Trainers (ToT) linked to the toolkit. Ensure materials are professionally formatted, visually engaging, and culturally appropriate. D. Puppetry Curriculum & Call for Participation Design Design visual materials for the puppetry curriculum as a tool for child engagement. Create call-for-participation assets for the puppetry ToT. Ensure design is age-appropriate and aligned with overall project branding. 4. Key Deliverables and descriptions The Graphic Designer is expected to deliver: Brand package: Project logo and visual identity assets Announcement and leaflet: Project promotional materials PowerPoint presentation: Tailored slides for project use Research report layout: National research design Policy briefs layout: Five sector briefs CP toolkit design: Visual design for curriculum Puppetry curriculum design: Visual design Final deliverables must include editable source files, print-ready files, and versions optimized for digital dissemination. 5. Duration of the Assignment The assignment is expected to take place from Feb.17 to Mar. 17. The total level of effort will be agreed upon before contract signing based on deliverables and timeline milestones. 6. Required Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate should have: Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or related field Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design Provide a portfolio showcasing knowledge in designing child-focused educational or awareness materials, especially on child protection or safeguarding themes, is a strong asset Experience in the NGO/humanitarian/development sector is an asset Excellent design software skills (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) Strong understanding of visual communication best practices Ability to work with tight timelines and respond to feedback promptly Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred) How to apply Interested candidates should submit: CV / resume Portfolio of relevant work Technical Proposal Financial Proposal (total and/or breakdown per deliverable) Examples of previous relevant work to
