Bids Are Invited For Rfi - Service Provision For Calgary Parkdale Home

This Rfi Is Intended To Gather Information To Assist In Developing Requirements For A Future Request For Proposals And Contract For A New, 24-Unit Home Under Construction, Known As Parkdale Home. This Rfi Also Aims To Test The Extent To Which Services Being Considered Are Available In The Market.Parkdale Home Will Serve As A Residence For Albertans Eligible For The Persons With Developmental Disabilities (Pdd) Program Who Have Highly Complex Service Needs And Require Significant Support To Live In The Community. Alberta Infrastructure Will Own The Building And The Pdd Program Will Fund All Operations. Construction Of Parkdale Home Is Expected To Be Completed By Spring Of 2027. It Is Expected That The Residence Will Be Fully Operational With 24 Residents By Fall Of 2027.Parkdale Home Is A Unique Project For The Pdd Program Because It Is:•Purpose-Built For Individuals With Highly Complex Service Needs And Developmental Disabilities (E.G., Rounded Drywall Corners, Built-In And Weighted Furnishings, Delayed Egress, And Other Safety Features);•Designed To Serve 24 Residents Within A Single Site By Bringing Together Pdd Services Alongside An Array Of Clinical And Domestic Supports That Fall Outside The Scope Of The Persons With Developmental Disabilities Services Act; And•Designed To Fill A Service Gap – Providing Supports For The Intended Population Within Community Settings Frequently Presents Challenges, With Needs Not Being Adequately Met.The Province Intends To Procure A Provider To Act As An Operator That Will:•Support Pre-Operational Preparations Before Parkdale Home Opens Its Doors. This May Include Setting Up Information And Technology And Office Equipment, Furnishings, Service Provider Or Staff Recruitment And Onboarding, Obtaining Accreditation, Licensing And Permits, Operational Policy And Protocol Development, Etc.;•Coordinate Across Service Providers For The Delivery Of The Full Range Of Services At This Home, Which May Include Clinical, Pdd And Domestic Services;•Coordinate Case Management For Each Resident, Including Collaboration Across Service Systems; And•Manage All Operations For Parkdale Home Including Liaising With The Property Manager, Community Residents And Guardians, And Overseeing Human Services, Business Services And Administration, Etc..
