Background and Context The project Strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable Women, Young Adults, and Men in Lebanon by Improving Their Livelihoods and Increasing Food Security is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It aims to: 1. Enhance food security and resilience through sustainable agricultural practices. 2. Empower women and youth by providing education, training, and economic opportunities. 3. Improve water resource management to support sustainable agriculture. Within the project, arche nova supports food security and livelihood resilience among vulnerable populations in Lebanon through sustainable agricultural interventions. A key component of this support focuses on strengthening local farmer groups in North Lebanon and Akkar. The project will provide technical assistance to crop and olive trees producers, as well as in-kind support through provision of tools and inputs, to enhance their production, increase their incomes, and therefore assist them in covering part of their food security needs. The in-kind inputs provided includes cow compost provision. The provided cow compost will enrich soil fertility by supplying balanced nutrients and stimulating microbial life, while simultaneously improving soil structure through better aeration, water retention, and aggregate stability. It is a cornerstone of sustainable soil management when applied correctly. Objectives of the Assignment To ensure the implementation of the intervention, arche nova is looking for a supplier to provide cow compost as part of the input supplies for the targeted farmers in Akkar. The supplier is expected to ensure the procurement, delivery and offloading of the requested amounts of cow compost (bags of 25 Kg each) to the identified locations within a determined timeframe. The supplier shall procure and deliver the requested quantities of cow compost based on the provided bill of quantity (Annex 3), within the timeframe specified in the RFQ, and based on the distribution plan developed between the selected supplier and arche nova team. The bidder must specify (to be specified in the RFQ) his capacity and identify the total quantity of cow compost (in tons) that can that can be distributed per day across the designated 3 distribution points in the listed areas. The exact distribution points within the areas will be coordinated with the supplier once identified. Expected Deliverables The contractor will be responsible for the following: Finalize the procurement and distribution of the cow compost bags as per the specifications in Annex (3) within the timeframe proposed in the RFQ (any timeframe exceeding 25 calendar days will be rejected). Specify the total quantity of cow compost (in tons) that can that can be distributed per day across the 3 designated distribution points (to be specified in the RFQ). Provide the needed labor to ensure the proper delivery on-site including off-loading of compost bags. Provide delivery notes for each site specifying the total number of bags of 25 Kg delivered. How to apply Submission Requirements Interested applicants should submit: The contractor should provide the following: Company registration certificate. VAT registration, if applicable. Financial number if available. Representative ID Clear photo of the bag showing the composition of the cow compost as per the specifications mentioned in the BOQ (Annex 3) Copies of contracts, emails, recommendation letters or any supporting document highlighting the proven experience in implementing similar supplies with humanitarian or development NGOs in Lebanon or the region, if applicable.
