The Ysofag Aims To Cultivate Capable, Confident, Future-Ready Agriculture Leaders Through Authentic, Handson, Community-Powered Learning That Connects Students To The Canadian Agri-Food System. The Ysofag Campus Building Will Be Constructed On 76 Acres Of Land Owned By Prairie Rose School Division And Is Located Along The Trans-Canada Highway Between Medicine Hat And Dunmore. The Building Will Have An Approximate 9,000 Sq.Ft Footprint With An Additional 4400 Sq Ft (Approx.) Of Usable Space On The Second Floor. The Building Design Includes A Commercial Kitchen, A Large Animal Health Clinic, A Botany Lab, A Mechanical Systems Shop As Well As Several Classrooms. The Objectives Of The Ysofag Include: 1. Create: Authentic Agricultural Learning Environments By Including Real-World, Hands-On Learning That Mirrors The Entire Agricultural Ecosystem 2. Build: Pathways To Careers, Trades, And Postsecondary Education By Building Clear, Supported And Industry-Aligned Pathways Into Alberta’S Agricultural Workforce 3.
