Tenders are invited for Graphic Design Consultant. Deadline: Sunday, 08. Feb 2026 Background and Context Women Now for Development (WND) is implementing a gendered social norms curriculum aimed at promoting gender equality, positive social change, and adolescent empowerment. As part of this initiative, a printed and digital booklet will be developed, targeting adolescents, and featuring: Key gender equality messages. Success stories. Quotes from women participants. A story designed specifically for adolescents, using age-appropriate, engaging, and inclusive visuals. The booklet will combine narrative storytelling with visual design to communicate complex gender equality concepts in an accessible, engaging, and culturally sensitive manner. To support this work, WND seeks to contract a Graphic Design Consultant to visually design the adolescent story and associated graphics and animations. 2. Objective of the Assignment The objective of this consultancy is to design a visually compelling and age-appropriate story for adolescents on gender equality, including all related graphics and animations, to be integrated into a broader educational booklet. The consultant will transform provided content into an engaging visual narrative that resonates with adolescents and reinforces positive gender norms. 3. Scope of Work Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the consultant will be responsible for the following: 3.1 Conceptual Design Develop a visual storytelling concept aligned with gender equality principles and adolescent-friendly communication. Propose a creative style (illustration, color palette, typography, tone). Ensure the design is inclusive, gender-sensitive, and culturally appropriate. 3.2 Story Design & Illustration Design the full visual narrative of the adolescent story based on content provided by the project team. Create original illustrations, characters, environments, and visual elements. Ensure clarity, emotional engagement, and accessibility for adolescent audiences. 3.3 Graphics for Booklet Content Design visual elements to accompany: Key messages. Success stories. Quotes from women participants. Ensure visual consistency across the entire booklet. 3.4 Animations Design short animations or motion graphics derived from the story and visuals. Adapt animations for digital use (social media, presentations, online platforms). 3.5 Review & Finalization Integrate feedback from the project team. Deliver final designs in required formats for both print and digital use. 4. Deliverables The consultant will deliver: Visual concept and design style proposal. Fully designed adolescent story (illustrations and layout). Graphics for booklet sections (key messages, success stories, quotes). Animations / motion graphics (number and format to be agreed). Final design files in editable and export-ready formats. All deliverables must be approved by WND. 5. Duration of the Assignment The assignment is expected to last 2 weeks, from starting date. A detailed work plan and timeline will be agreed upon at contract signature. 6. Reporting & Coordination The consultant will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the program and communications teams. Regular check-ins and review points will be scheduled throughout the assignment. 7. Required Qualifications & Experience The consultant should demonstrate: Proven experience in graphic design and illustration, particularly for youth or adolescent audiences. Strong portfolio including storytelling, illustration, and/or animation work. Experience designing content related to gender equality, social change, education, or youth engagement (strong asset). Ability to translate written content into engaging visual narratives. Strong understanding of gender-sensitive and inclusive design principles. Proficiency in relevant design and animation software. 8. Intellectual Property All outputs produced under this consultancy will be the exclusive property of WND. The consultant may not reproduce or reuse the materials without prior written consent. 9. Evaluation Criteria Applications will be evaluated based on: Relevant experience and portfolio quality.
