Quotation are invited for Appointment of a Service Provider for the Provision of Maintenance Services for Diesel Generators and Ups Systems at Atns Fael (King Phalo Airport) for a Period of Five (5) Years on an As and when Required Basis 2. Scope of work Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) seeks to appoint a service provider for the provision of maintenance services for Diesel Generators and Ups Systems at ATNS FAEL (King Phalo Airport) for a period of Five (5) years on an as-and-when required Basis Bidders must demonstrate their capability to deliver the required services in compliance with all applicable legal and statutory requirements. 2.1. The successful service provider will be required to perform the activities below The diesel generator six monthly services include but not limited to the following activities: Replace the air filters. Check all the lubrication points and lubricate as required. Clean the plant and its components as necessary. Grease and oil moving parts, as necessary. Replace the lubricating oil, and oil filter elements at recommended intervals (we recommend every 1 year or 250 hours, whichever occurs first). The readings on the engine running hour meter shall determine the number of hours run by the plant between oil changes. Check and adjust the valve settings and the fuel injection equipment, as necessary. Check the batteries and top-up the electrolyte, as necessary. Report to ATNS on any part that has become unserviceable for any reason and as soon as possible submit to the customer a quotation for the repair or replacement of the part. Advise ATNS when a minor or major engine/alternator overhaul is due and submit a quotation for this service. Check and adjust battery charger voltage/current settings. Check and adjust alternator output voltage. Check operation and setting of cooling water pre-heater. Check operation of pre-lube pump. Check operation of fuel day tank pumps. Check operation and setting of genset protections and alarms. Operate the plant off load and immediately thereafter on load for 15 minutes at the end of each visit. The contractor must give appropriate warnings to the customer.
