Nore Og Uvdal Municipality Is To Acquire A New Tanker For The Nore Og Uvdal Fire Brigade To Replace Existing Vehicles. Todays Car Does Not Satisfy The Municipalitys Needs For Water Capacity And Preparedness, As Well As Todays Requirements Or Standards.

The Municipality Has A Large Geographical Area With Scattered Settlements And Cottage Populations, Long Emergency Distances And Demanding Driving Conditions, Including Narrow And Steep Roads. The Fire Service Handles A Wide Range Of Calls, Including Fires In Buildings, Fires In Forests And Countryside, Traffic Incidents/Accidents And Much More, Where Access To Water May Be Limited And Own Capacity Is Crucial.

The Procurement Is Carried Out To Meet Increased Emergency Response Needs And Current Requirements For Safety, Working Environment And Crew Transport, As Well As To Ensure A Reliable And Forward-Looking Tanker That Can Be Part Of The Fire Services Operational Service This Year Around.

Description Of The Assignment

The Assignment Includes The Delivery Of One Complete, New Tanker For The Fire And Rescue Service, Including The Necessary Equipment To Be Put Into Operational Use. The Vehicle Must Be Delivered Eu-Approved And Be Built In Line With Relevant Standards For Firefighting Vehicles.

The Tanker Must Be Adapted To The Municipalitys Topography And Road Standards, With Good Accessibility And Capacity For Water Transport And Water Supply In Case Of Emergency. The Solution Must Also Ensure Safe And Ergonomic Transport Of Crew, As Well As Have A High Operational Reliability For Year-Round Use.

The Delivery Must Also Include Appropriate Fittings And Fastening Solutions For Fire Equipment, Standard Accessories, Necessary Documentation, As Well As Training And Service/Follow-Up In Connection With Handover. The Vehicle Must Be Suitable For The Transport Of Dangerous Goods Where Applicable.
