Multimedia Equipment – Replacement Projection And Room Control System (Prs) For A Lecture Room In The Federal Institute Of Hydraulic Engineering At The Karlsruhe Location. The Baw Intends To Bring The Projection And Room Control System In The “Visualization And Information Center” (Prs) In Hall Iv Of The Baw In Karlsruhe Up To The Latest Technical Standards After Almost 10 Years Of Operation And To Renew The Existing Media Technology Components. In The Area Of Media Control, The System Should Be Intuitive To Use For Defined Standard Requirements And Special Usage Requirements Should Also Be Mapped. The Prs Currently Available At The Baw In Hall Iv Consists Of Various Components From The Areas Of Audio And Video As Well As Information Technology. A Special Feature Of The Prs Is The Use Of An Approximately 6.5 X 2.5 M Rear Projection Surface. This Is To Be Replaced By A Similarly Sized Led Wall. The Prs Is Used By All Baw Departments For Events With 10 To 199 Participants. These Are Primarily The Following Types Of Events: Simple Lecture Events; Colloquia Or Conferences Lasting Several Days; Employee Meetings, Hybrid Events. In Addition To The Standard Lecture Situation, Special Types Of Use Are Also Used: Large-Scale Display Of Images Or Image Sequences From The Application Of Numerical And Physical Model Studies In The Baw; Realization Of In-House Streaming Of Images And Sound Via One Or More Channels. The System Must Be Able To Be Operated By Baws Own Staff As Well As By External Lecturers. At The Events Mentioned, Hall Iv Also Serves As A Representation Room For The Baw.
