Operation Of A Refuse Site – Landfilling Service For The Following Waste: Sand, Stones And Pebbles From Wastewater Treatment - Wet Ashes From Incineration Of Depuration Sludge - Dry Ashes From Incineration Of Depuration Sludge. The Vidy Step Treats Wastewater From The City Of Lausanne And 15 Neighboring Municipalities; It Incinerates The Sewage Sludge Produced By The Vidy Step As Well As Other Steps In The Canton Of Vaud. Wastewater Treatment Produces Waste In The Form Of Sand, Pebbles And Stones (No. Omod 19 08 02, Waste Movement Ordinance) Which Must Be Deposited In Type E And C Landfills. The Incineration Of Sewage Sludge Produces Waste In The Form Of Wet And Dry Ashes (No. Omod 19 01 12) Which Must Be Deposited In Type E And C Landfills. Discharge Of This Waste, Including The Transport From The Vidy Wwtp Of Dry Ashes, Throughout The Year 2026. The Adjudicator Recalls That In The Field Of Waste Management, Switzerland Has Ratified The Basel Convention On The Control Of Transboundary Movements Of Hazardous Waste And Their Elimination, And Is Therefore Bound By Its Provisions. As A Member Of The Oecd And Party To This Convention, It Strictly Regulates The Export And Import Of Hazardous Wastes In Accordance With This International Treaty. In This Procedure The Waste Concerned Is Prohibited From Export Under Articles 14 And 17 Of The Waste Movement Ordinance (Omod).
