The trainer will be responsible for the following key activities: Agricultural Maintenance Trainer Organization: Basmeh & Zeitooneh Deadline for completion of all trainings: 7 April 2026 1. Objective Basmeh & Zeitooneh seeks to contract an experienced Agricultural Maintenance Trainer to deliver practical and theoretical training to 2040 women on agricultural maintenance, with a focus on strengthening technical skills in irrigation, greenhouse management, and agricultural machinery. 2. Scope of Work A. Training Delivery The trainer will design and deliver comprehensive theoretical and practical training sessions covering the following areas: 1. Irrigation System Installation & Maintenance Design and installation of irrigation systems (drip and sprinkler) Identification of system failures Providing technical solutions for repair and replacement Pump maintenance Maintenance of pipes and accessories Cleaning of filters and irrigation systems Development of irrigation and fertigation schedules 2. Greenhouse Installation & Maintenance Greenhouse structure installation Net and plastic sheet installation Door and ventilation repair Temperature control in greenhouses Greenhouse shading techniques Wire installation Shading system installation Identification of damages (plastic, net, ventilation) Rehabilitation works, including plastic cover replacement 3. Agricultural Machinery Maintenance Monitoring fuel and oil levels Inflating and installing vehicle wheels Maintenance of pulverization machines and equipment Plower maintenance Weeder maintenance Cleaning and installation of air filters Monitoring truck oil and water levels Evaluating machinery condition (tillers, tractors, sprayers, pumps) Training participants to solve common mechanical problems Diagnosing basic mechanical and electrical issues B. Technical Guidance & Follow-Up Support participants in acquiring practical maintenance skills. Ensure training activities are delivered efficiently and aligned with project timelines and objectives. C. Curriculum & Tool Development Develop training content tailored to non-conventional technical skills for women. Prepare training materials, visual aids, and simplified guidance in clear Arabic language. Prepare a detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for required equipment, tools, and materials, including technical specifications and estimated quantities (in English). Prepare technical reports in English, including participant progress and key recommendations. D. Community Engagement & Coordination Coordinate closely with field teams regarding scheduling and implementation of theoretical and practical sessions. Ensure smooth communication and effective collaboration throughout the training period. E. Safety, Protection & Compliance Ensure all training activitiesespecially practical sessionscomply with safety standards. Promote environmentally friendly and safe agricultural practices. Adhere to organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements. 3. Education and Experience Degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field. Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in agriculture, greenhouse production, and irrigation system design. Proven experience in delivering both theoretical and practical trainings on safety standards and good agricultural practices. 4. Functional Competencies Strong practical knowledge of agricultural maintenance and small-scale farming. Ability to train effectively in: Irrigation systems and maintenance Greenhouse installation and maintenance Agricultural machinery maintenance Tractor and plower driving and maintenance Ability to develop structured training materials and conduct practical demonstrations. 5.
