Cargo Handling And Storage Services – Award Of Operating Contract Baltrum N18. 1. Among Other Things, Niedersachsen Ports Operates The Island Port Of Baltrum On The North Sea Island Of The Same Name, Which Also Has Commercial Space. The Port Of Baltrum Is Located In The Southwest Of The Car-Free Island And Is Connected To The Town Via Public Transport Routes. The Main Functions Of The Port Are Ferry Traffic And Supply To The Island Of Baltrum. The Use Of The Port Includes A) Supply And Disposal: Several Freighters With A Maximum Length Of 35 M; B) Ferry Traffic: Currently The Baltrum - Neßmersiel Ferry Line Of The Baltrum Line (Several Ferries Up To 45 M Long) And C) The Sports Boat Harbor: Baltrumer Bootsclub E. V. For Traffic Safety Reasons, Niedersachsen Ports Does Not Provide Any Unmanaged Area In The Area Of The Baltrum Port Where Goods Can Be Left For Self-Collection. Therefore, Goods Handled Via The Port Must Be Picked Up Directly From The Ships By Self-Collectors. Alternatively, Shipping Must Be Carried Out In Such A Way That A Company Takes Care Of The Goods From The Moment They Are Unloaded And Then Distributes Them Further. For Example, The Goods Can Be Delivered To The Recipient Address Via The Shipping Company That Calls At The Island Of Baltrum And A Forwarding Company/Another Company That Takes Over The Goods Immediately At The Time Of Unloading. There Should Be No Temporary Parking Of Goods In The Quay Area. 2. Niedersachsen Ports Intends To Contractually Oblige The Operator Of The N18 Transshipment Area To Provide The Following Services In A Non-Discriminatory Manner At The Expense Of The Purchaser/Customer: A) Coordination And Processing Of Passenger Traffic On The Ferry Lines On The N18 Area (In Particular Traffic Safety Of The Access To The Containers Of The Spa Administration Or Ferry Line And To The Luggage Provision Areas; However, No Ticket Sales Or Collection Of The Spa Fee Or Control Thereof) Insofar As He Is Responsible For This Through The Relevant Ferry Line Has Been Commissioned; B) Provision Of A Partial Area For The Provision Of Luggage For Ferry Traffic; C) Responsible For Organizing The Acceptance And Opening Of Suitcase Containers And Making The Luggage Contained Therein Available For Collection By Passengers In The Above-Mentioned Area Of The Concession Area, Insofar As He Has Been Commissioned To Do This By The Relevant Ferry Line; D) Independent Organization Of The Acceptance Of Goods From The Ferry Or Cargo Ship, The Handling Or Interim Storage And, If Necessary, Further Transport Of Which The Operator Has Been Commissioned - Excluding Longer Parking On The Quay; E) Further Transport Of The Accepted Goods To The Final Recipient On The Island Of Baltrum, Insofar As The Operator Has Been Commissioned To Do So; F) Short-Term Interim Storage Of The Goods, Taking Into Account The Maximum Duration To Be Stipulated In The Contract (Thereafter Mandatory Onward Transport By The (Respective) Operator To The Recipient); G) Guaranteed Year-Round, Non-Discriminatory Delivery Of The Specified
