The Saxony-Anhalt State Office For Flood Protection And Water Management Is Planning To Renovate The Existing Aland Dike In The Aland Lowland Area, North Of Osterburg. In The Dike Section Under Consideration, Approximately 2,200 M Of Dike Are Being Renovated. The Following Geometry Of The Renovated Dike Body Was Assumed For The Possible Solution Shown In The Site Plan. The New Dike Crown Width Is 3.0 M. The Embankments Have A Continuous Slope Of 1:3. The Dike Surface Will Again Be Seeded With Grass. The Missing Dike Volume Is Compensated For With Aueton. No Separate Dike Seal Will Be Installed As The Existing Dike Is Made Entirely Of Aueton. Only In The Transition Area To The New Dike Construction Stat. 2+166…2+176.7 A Dike Seal Is Installed. The Dike Defense Path Will Be Laid Out On The Land Side On A 5.0 M Wide Berm With Concrete System Paving. Ramps And Crossings Will Have An Inclination Of 1:10. Deep Rims On The Water Side In The Crown Area, On The Land Side At The End Of Ascents, Crossings And Descents. Woods Are Removed Up To At Least 5.0 M On Both Sides Of The New Dike Base. To Relieve Pressure, A Relief Slot Is Installed In The Landside Dike Protection Strip. According To The Task, The Renovation (Construction Station 0+000.00…2+176.00, Own Construction Station) Will Be Carried Out In The Existing Dike Route.
