Quotation are invited for Interior Design, Specifications and Bill of Quantities with Estimated Pricing, for the Proposed World Trade Centre for the Durban Icc Scope of Services 6.1 Concept Development Develop a world-class, contemporary, and premium interior design concept aligned to international World Trade Centre standards and best practice; Incorporate a high-tech, future-focused aesthetic, including but not limited to digital integration, smart spaces, and flexible work and collaboration areas; Ensure the design reflects the Durban ICC brand, professionalism, innovation, and global relevance; Provide concept layouts, mood boards, 3D visualisations/renders, and material palettes. 6.2 Interior Design Development Detailed space planning for all identified areas, which may include: o Reception and welcome areas o Business lounges and meeting rooms o Trade and investment facilitation areas o Flexible workspaces and collaboration zones o Digital kiosks and interactive zones o Seating and networking areas o Support and ancillary spaces Detailed furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) selections; Lighting, finishes, colours, textures, and materials specification; Integration of digital displays, signage, wayfinding, and technology-ready spaces. 6.3 Specifications and Documentation Preparation of detailed interior design specifications suitable for costing and procurement; Clear definition of finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, fittings, and equipment; Coordination of design intent with operational requirements of a live convention centre environment. 6.4 Bill of Quantities and Estimated Pricing Preparation of a detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) covering all interior design elements; Provision of estimated pricing per item and per area, based on current market rates; Separation of costs per major component (e.g. finishes, FF&E, technology-related items); Assumptions and exclusions to be clearly stated. 6.5 Design Requirements The interior design must: Represent a premier, flagship World Trade Centre environment; Convey a professional, sophisticated, and international business image; Incorporate high-quality, durable, and sustainable materials; Allow for flexibility and adaptability for different users and functions; Be mindful of operational efficiency, maintenance, and lifecycle costs; Align with relevant South African building standards and best practice. 6.6 Project Management Design, delivery and coordination The appointed Interior Design Specialist shall provide project management services for the implementation phase of the World Trade Centre interior works through to practical completion. These services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Participation in the handover from design to implementation; Development of an implementation programme aligned to the Durban ICC operational requirements; Establishment of communication and reporting protocols. Monitoring progress against programme, quality standards, and design intent; Managing design-related queries, clarifications, and site instructions; Reviewing and certifying design-related submissions, samples, and mock-ups. Ensuring that implementation aligns with the approved interior design, specifications, and finishes schedules; Conducting regular site inspections focused on quality, workmanship, and compliance with design intent; Identification and resolution of defects related to interior design elements. 7. Deliverables The successful bidder will be required to deliver: Interior design concept report; 2D layouts and space planning drawings; 3D renders and visualisations; Material, finishes, and FF&E schedules; Detailed interior design specifications; Comprehensive Bill of Quantities with estimated pricing; Design-phase project management deliverables, including design programmes, progress reports, and coordination records; Implementation-phase project management deliverables for the World Trade Centre interior works, including implementation programmes, quality inspection, snag lists, and practical completion support documentation (where implementation phase services are activated); Final consolidated report and handover pack in both editable and PDF formats Tender Link : https://icc.co.za/careers-and-vendors/vendor-opportunities/
