Background Farah Social Foundation is implementing a youth-focused vocational training program aimed at building practical skills in sustainable agriculture and improving employability and self-reliance. The program combines theory, hands-on practice, and market-oriented approaches and leads to a MEHE-certified certificate upon completion. 2. Objective of the Assignment To design and deliver a 150-hour Sustainable Agriculture vocational training that equips youth with practical, environmentally responsible agricultural skills aligned with labor market needs and national certification standards. 3. Scope of Work The trainer will be responsible for: Designing and delivering the full 150-hour training program Ensuring alignment with MEHE vocational certification requirements Combining theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice Using participatory, youth-friendly teaching methods Integrating environmental sustainability and climate-smart practices 4. Training Structure Total duration: 150 hours Daily schedule: 5 hours per day Target group: Youth from 15 to 25 years old Training modality: In-person (classroom + field/practical sessions) 5. Key Training Topics (Indicative) The trainer may adapt content based on context, but must cover: Principles of sustainable and climate-smart agriculture Soil health and soil conservation techniques Water management and efficient irrigation systems Organic farming and reduced chemical inputs Crop selection, seasonal planning, and basic crop management Integrated pest management (IPM) Post-harvest handling and basic value addition Occupational health and safety in agriculture Introduction to agri-entrepreneurship and market access 6. Deliverables The trainer is expected to deliver: Training curriculum and session plans (before training starts) Training materials (presentations, handouts, practical guides) Delivery of 150 hours of training in Arabic Pre- and post-training assessments Attendance sheets and session reports Final training completion report Support documentation required for MEHE certification 7. Duration & Level of Effort Total duration: As per training schedule (150 hours) 8. Coordination & Reporting The trainer will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator and MEAL Officer. Regular progress updates will be required. 9. Qualifications & Experience The trainer must have: University degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture Proven experience in vocational or youth training Strong practical field experience Familiarity with MEHE vocational training standards (asset) Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk youth (asset) 10. Payment Terms Payment will be based on actual training hours delivered Payment schedule to be defined in the contract, subject to deliverables approval Tax Compliance Note: In case the selected trainer does not have an MOF registration, a tax deduction of 8.5% will be applied to the total contract value, in accordance with applicable regulations. 11. Ethical & Safeguarding Considerations The trainer must adhere to the organizations Code of Conduct and PSEA throughout the assignment.
