Bids Are Invited For City Of Cranbrook - Roadway Line Painting Services Contract 2026-2028

The City Of Cranbrook Has Approximately 67Km Of Longitudinal Lines, Hundreds Of Crosswalks, Elephantfoot Markings, And Turn Lane Arrows. Other Specialty Markings Include Bicycle Lane Symbols, Sharrows,Diamonds, And Handicap Parking Symbols. The City Paints Its 10 Parking Lots On A Year-By-Yearrotational Basis. There Are Around 7.5Km Of Painted Curbs In Cranbrook, Comprised Of Both Yellow Curbsfor No Parking, Red Curbs For Bus Stops, And Blue Curbs For Handicap Parking Stalls, Which Are Painted Ona Rotational Basis. The City Has A Paved Multi-Use Path Network That Has Approximately 8.4Km Of Solidyellow Centerline That Gets Painted Intermittently. Occasionally, A Small Amount Of Line/Markingeradication Is Required Of The Contractor. This Typically Occurs When New Line Or Marking Alignments Arerequired Due To A Change In Traffic Patterns. A Full Inventory Is Included In Appendix B – Schedule Ofquantities And Prices. The City Requires Painting To Be Completed Annually In The Spring Season. Road Surfaces Must Be Snowand Ice-Free, And The Annual Street Sweeping Program Must Have Cleaned The Majority Of The Paintedroads Before Painting Can Commence. The City Aims To Have All Surfaces Requiring Paint Swept Beforepainting Is Applied; However, Any Missed Areas With Excess Gravel Or Dirt Must Be Cleaned/Swept By Thecontractor Before Painting. All Painting Must Be Complete By The End Of June Each Year. The City Permits Paint Crews To Perform Night Work And Does Not Restrict The Hours During Which Thework Can Be Performed.
