Work Detail

Expression of Interest for Establishment of a Database of Partners for the Implementation of Reseco Project Activities Establishing a pool of local NGOs, individual consultants and research firms capable of implementing the activities of the Economic Resilience (RESECO) project: the Women and Girls Empowerment project The specific objectives are: Strengthening skills, employability and guiding young girls towards promising male-dominated academic fields: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) facilitating equal access to formal employment; Developing a safe and supportive environment for young womens success through the positive engagement of men, families and communities; Strengthening the strategic and technical capacities of womens cooperatives in all their diversity by promoting and valuing womens professional associations, mutual support between members, and organizations of people living with disabilities, as well as innovative initiatives, including digital ones, led by local womens organizations. To achieve these objectives, the intervention strategy is based on three (3) complementary and synergistic change trajectories as follows: Trajectory 1 : Capacity building for women and girls and promotion of STEM. The main change expected aims to better equip young girls and women with the academic opportunities offered by STEM fields in order to enable them to make good career decisions, which will facilitate their access to decent jobs in promising sectors of the sustainable economy. Trajectory 2 : Technical support for womens groups/associations/cooperatives & innovative initiatives The main changes expected are more structured and formalized womens groups, cooperatives, associations and organizations gaining access to the necessary means, resources and connections, through technical assistance and acceleration services for associations, cooperatives, associations and groups, enabling them to develop further (scale up) and create new jobs linked to high-potential value chains in the local sustainable economy. Trajectory 3 : Creation of an environment / ecosystem conducive to the economic empowerment of women (advocacy, financial inclusion, representation, inclusive governance, fight against GBV, access to services, institutional analyses) . The main changes expected are improvements to the business environment and the sustainable employment ecosystem, with a particular focus on the financial inclusion of womens organizations and womens representation in professional bodies within the sustainable economy sector. Access to sustainable and appropriate financing is the main obstacle to the development of women-led associations, cooperatives, and groups. In developing countries, there is an annual credit gap of nearly $320 billion for women-led organizations (World Bank). These changes aim to create a suitable framework capable of addressing the specific needs and interests of women and their organizations in the face of barriers to accessing finance, land, and markets, and of improving their resilience to climate and security shocks. The implementation of the Economic Resilience (RESECO) project: Empowerment of Women and Girls will be carried out in partnership with local organizations and/or private providers, recruited through calls for expressions of interest (EOI) with the involvement of the sectoral ministries of Mali. It is in this context that the Implementation Unit (UMO) of SNV is launching this call for expressions of interest, called AMI-1. This call for expressions of interest aims to establish, within the framework of the implementation of the project, a pool of local NGOs, individual consultants and research offices that will be able to implement activities related to trajectories 1, 2 and 3 in the different former regions of the project (Kayes, Sikasso, Koulikoro, Ségou and the district of Bamako). AMI objectives The overall objective: To create, based on their area ofexpertise, a pool of partners (local NGOs, individual consultants and consulting firms) for the implementation of project activities. The specific objective: Establish a register of potential partners, constituting a database usable by the project This call for expressions of interest contributes to the achievement of trajectories 1, 2 and 3 of the project.
