Expression of Interest For Consulting Services For The Preparation Of Detailed Design, Preparation Of Tender Documents, And Supervision Of The Construction And Equipping Of Secondary Schools Project
Expression of Interest for Consulting Services for the Preparation of Detailed Design, Preparation of Tender Documents, and Supervision of the Construction and Equipping of Secondary Schools Project. The objectives of the consultancy services (the Services) are, but not limited to: (1) carry out site investigations and field verifications to confirm design parameters and adapt the proposed works to existing site conditions, including structural, geotechnical, topographic, hydrological, and seismic aspects; (2) prepare the detailed engineering designs, tender documents, and all related technical documentation required for the construction and equipping of new school facilities including a dedicated sports hall, classrooms, laboratories, administrative areas, and sports facilities (3) assistance in bid evaluation (4) supervise the execution of the civil works contracts for the construction of new school facilities, ensuring full compliance with the approved designs, technical specifications, construction quality standards, and all applicable environmental, social, health, and safety safeguards; (5) implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for all construction materials, equipment, and works, and monitor adherence to environmental and social safeguard requirements throughout construction; (6) assist the PIU in contract administration, including the review of contractors work programs, verification of progress payments, and assessment of variation orders and claims; (7) coordinate with the PIU to ensure the timely exchange of technical information, issuance of site instructions, and evaluation of construction progress; (8) prepare and submit to the PIU and the Kuwait Fund all required reports, including the inception report, monthly progress reports, and the final supervision report, in English; and (9) monitor the works during the defects liability period, carry out periodic inspections, ensure rectification of identified defects, and assist the PIU in the issuance of final acceptance certificates and the preparation of the project completion documentation.
