Pl27tde001 - Summer Tree Planting In The Dawson Creek Timber Supply Area . The Peace-Liard Business Area Of British Columbia Timber Sales Is Proposing A Tree Planting Contract For The 2026 Summer Season. The Proposed Contract Is Planned For Approximately 1,166,280 Summer Trees To Be Planted, With Forest Investment Program (Fip) Trees Totaling Approximately 223,080 For This Contract. Net Area To Be Reforested (Nar) For This Contract Is Approximately 740-Hectares. This Contract Has A Start Date Of July 5, 2026, And All Trees Must Be Planted No Later Than July 31St, 2026. The Proposed Summer Trees Will Be Allocated Over 29 Cutblocks In The Dawson Creek Timber Supply Area (Tsa) Of Northeast British Columbia, Near The Communities Of Dawson Creek And Tumbler Ridge. Approximately 152,800 Of The Summer Trees Will Require Helicopter Support, Spread Out Over Two (2) Cutblocks. All Sites Are Located Within The Dawson Creek Tsa And Access Will Be Via Truck, Atv, Or Helicopter. The Successful Contractor Will Be Responsible For All Planning Of Helicopter Transportation And All Costs Incurred. It Is Expected That An Implementation Contractor Will Be In Place For This Contract.
