In A Context Of The Emergence Of Stationary Storage Systems, Rte (Manager Of The Electricity Transmission Network In France) Launched A Project In 2016 Aiming To Experiment With The Use Of Several Storage Sites (Battery Electricity Storage System, I.E. Battery Energy Storage System - Bess). In Particular, The So-Called Ringo Project Aimed To Test And Qualify The Use Of This Type Of Battery To Manage Local Congestion On The Htb1 Network, Via Experimental Demonstrators Directly Connected To The French General Transport Network. It Was Decided That The Project Would Be Deployed On Three Sites, Which Were Selected Because Of Their Short-Term Exposure To Transit Constraints, Constraints Linked To The Rapid Installation Of Wind Or Photovoltaic Production On The Mv Network In Particular. Each Selected Site Thus Includes: • Batteries With A Total Power Of 10 To 12 Mw And An Energy Storage Capacity Of 24 To 33 Mwh; • Control, Command And Communication Equipment, In Particular With The Rte Is Application Chain Allowing Battery Management; • Power Electronics Equipment And Equipment Enabling Voltage Transformation Between Batteries And The General Network.
