The Swedish Transport Agency Is The Railway Safety Authority In Denmark And Is Responsible For Approving Railway Infrastructure And Vehicles As Well As Overseeing Safety On The Railway. This Includes E.G. Transport Of Dangerous Goods On The Railway In Accordance With Bj 5 070.001-2017 (Regulations On The Transport Of Explosives In The Railway Tunnels On The Great Belt And Øresund), Where Quantity Restrictions For The Transport Of Explosives Of 5 Tonnes Per Wagon In The Great Belt Tunnel And 1 Ton Per Carriage In The Øre-Sund Tunnel. The Danish Transport Agency Needs A Report Drawn Up, Which Must Contain A Risk Assessment Of Whether The Applicable Quantity Restrictions Of 1 Tonne And 5 Tonnes Per Wagon As A Result Of The Developments That Have Taken Place In The Area, Are They Safe In Terms Of Safety Today, Or Whether They Need To Be Adjusted. It Includes Situations Where A Freight Train With Explosives Runs In The Tunnel Without Simultaneous Passenger Trains. As The Future Fehmarn Link Is Scheduled To Open In 2029, The Report Will Also Have To Include A Possible Quantity Limitation For The Transport Of Explosives In The Railway Tunnels Of The Fehmarn Link. In Addition, The Report Must Contain An Analysis Of The Safety Risk Involved In Allowing A Passenger Train And A Freight Train Transporting Dangerous Goods Other Than Explosives To Run In The Same Railway Tunnel At The Same Time. The Analysis Must Also Describe Any Distance Requirements That Must Be Between Railway Carriages In Order To Reduce The Risk Of Detonation Transfer Between The Individual Train Carriages (E.G. Whether An Empty Train Carriage Must Be Inserted Between Carriages With Over Xx Kg Of Explosives).
