Endangered Species Protection Services - Service Of Inventory Of Leks, Monitoring The Population Size Of The Capercaillie Tetrao Urogallus, Collecting Samples For Research In The Augustów Forest In 2026, Together With Preparing A Report, Carried Out As Part Of The Project Together For Nature - Protection Of Species And Habitats In Naturally Valuable Areas (Opl2), Co-Financed By The Feniks 2021-2027 Program.. The Aim Of The Works Covered By The Order Is To Find Out The Range Of The Capercaillie And The Number Of Birds Naturally Occurring In The Augustów Forest And To Collect Available Samples In The Field For Testing: Capercaillie Feathers And Excrements. A Method Is Used To Estimate The Number Of Birds Using Sound Recorders. This Is A Non-Invasive Method And Does Not Require Excessive Penetration Of The Lek Area. Direct Observations Will Be An Auxiliary Method. As Part Of The Order, The Location And Inventory Of Mating Grounds Will Be Carried Out Using Sound Recorders Recording The Voices Of Mating Males And Females. Additionally, Direct Observations Will Be Carried Out And Information About Observations From The Field Will Also Be Collected From Forest Services And Forest Workers. The Contractor Will Collect Samples - Excrement, Capercaillie Feathers. The Results Of The Order Execution Will Be Presented In The Report (Paper Version And Digital Version On Cd/Dvd). The Number Of Leks Within The 4 Forest Districts, I.E. Wiedzy Bród, Augustów, Pomorze And Płaska Forest Districts, Is Estimated At 14 Leks, A Total Of Active And Abandoned Ones, Identified Over The Last 16 Years.
