Expression of Interest for Qualitative Data Collection on Care Economy in the Philippines The World Bank East Asia and Pacific Gender Innovation Lab (EAPGIL) and Social Development (SD) Global Practice are carrying out a study of the care economy in the Philippines, with a focus on childcare and elder care. The study focuses on constraints to supply of and demand for childcare and elderly care, and opportunities for provision by the public sector and possibly the private sector. The study will take the form of a qualitative situation analysis of the care economy in the Philippines. The situation analysis will comprise of three core components: (i) demand-side assessment; (ii) supply-side assessment; and (iii) enabling environment review.
