Tenders are invited for LISA Cold Gas Impulsive Thrusters Procurement The Drag-Free and Attitude Control Propulsion (DAP) system incorporates a Cold Gas Impulsive Thruster (CGIT) subsystem composed of twelve thrusters arranged in two clusters of six. Each CGIT shall be capable of providing thrust at milli-Newton levels. The CGITs are employed for attitude control during non-science phases, in particular for detumbling and Sun-pointing operations in safe mode. The thrusters are supplied with regulated nitrogen gas at approximately 23 bar by a Mechanical Pressure Regulator (MPR) assembly. The CGITs shall be designed to provide fast and repeatable impulse delivery with low leakage, ensuring reliable spacecraft control throughout these operational modes. The procurement of the CGIT will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements.
