The Sports Services Of The City Of Vaasa Are Requesting An Offer For Summertime Beach Supervision For Hietasaaris Beach For The Period 2026-2027. The Goal Is To Ensure A Safe Swimming Experience For The Users Of Hietasaaris Beach. At Least Two Supervisors Must Be Present On The Beach During The Entire Supervision Period. Due To Breaks, There May Be One Supervisor On Supervisory Duties At Times. Every Beach Lifeguard Must Have Beach Lifeguard Or Swimming Lifeguard Training Or Similar Training Under Suh Or International Beach Lifeguard Training Completed At The Beginning Of The Contract Period. Requirements Set For Beach Lifeguards: 1. The Supervision Time Is In Weeks 24-32 Every Day Of The Week From 11:00 A.M. To 6:00 P.M. 2. Beach Supervisors Must Be Of Legal Age And Speak Finnish. Knowledge Of The Swedish Language Is Considered An Advantage. 3. During Meal Breaks And In Individual Short-Term Deployment Situations, It Is Possible To Use A Person Who Does Not Have Suh Or International Lifeguard Or Swimming Lifeguard Training, But Who Has E.G. Firefighter Or Paramedic Training And Who Has Water Rescue Skills And Is Able To Save The Clients Target From Even The Most Challenging Places. The Suitability Of The Training Must Be Checked In Advance With The Sports Services. 4. The Task Of The Beach Supervisor Is To Ensure That The Beach Has Safe Conditions For Everyone To Swim And, If Necessary, To Intervene In Disturbing Or Dangerous Behavior On The Beach. The Beach Supervisor Must Have Water Rescue Skills On The Beach In Question, As Well As The Ability To Identify A Drowning Customer And Master Water Rescue And Water Search Techniques. A Large Part Of The Work Is Preventive Safety Work On The Beach. Beach Supervisors Must Not Have Other Tasks That Hinder Supervision. 5. Beach Guards Must Have Clearly Distinguishable Clothing (A Yellow Shirt With The Words Beach Guards Or Guards As A Minimum Requirement). Customers Must Be Able To Easily Identify Who The Beach Guard Is On The Beach. 6. The Beach Supervisor Must Internalize The Importance Of Good Customer Service And Instructions For Safety. 7. The Service Provider Is The Employer Of The Employees And Is Responsible For All The Employers Obligations Towards The Employees, Including The Organization Of Occupational Health Care For Its Employees. 2. As An Employer, The Service Provider Complies With The Laws And Regulations In Force In Finland At Any Given Time, The Finnish Collective Agreement And All Occupational Health And Safety Regulations And Regulations. 3. Occupational Health And Safety Responsibilities For The Service Providers Work Performance Rest With The Service Provider Himself.
