1.1 Purpose This Grant Application Is A Competitive Process Issued By The Ministry To Identify Organizations Interested In And Capable Of Delivering Cdss Initiative Activities, In Accordance With The Specifications, Terms, And Conditions Outlined In This Document. The Ministry Will Use This Transparent Process To Assess Applicants’ Qualifications, Organizational Capacity, Partnerships And Collaborations, Delivery Plan, And Budget. Grant Applicants Are Invited To Submit Their Applications In Line With All Specifications And Conditions Provided.Applicants Should Carefully Review All Requirements In This Grant Application. Failure To Meet Any Term, Condition, Or Requirement May Result In The Submission Being Rejected.1.2 Objectivesthe Cross-Disability Support Services (Cdss) Initiative Provides Funding To Community Agencies To Support Adult Albertans With Disabilities Access Services They May Not Be Able To Access Or Qualify For. The Cdss Initiative Provides Navigation Support To Maximize Personal Well-Being. The Objective Of Cdss Is To Ensure Adults With Disabilities, Whose Needs Fall Outside Of Other Programs, Have Consistent Access To Province-Wide Supports. By Providing Information And Maintaining A Strong Support Network, Individuals Are Able To Access Navigation Support To: • Encourage Individuals To Be Self-Reliant And Live As Independently As Possible; And • Empower Individuals To Engage With And Be Valued Members Of Their Communities.
