With This Procurement Notice, The Finnish Railways Agency And The City Of Vaasa Start The Procurement Procedure Regarding The Construction Of The Vt 8 And St 724 Vaasa Connecting Road Contract. The Railway Agency And The City Of Vaasa Are Looking For Candidates And Groups Of Candidates To Implement The Vt 8 And St 724 Vaasa Connecting Road. The Project Is A Pilot Project Of The Finnish Transport Agency, Where The Alliance Model Used Is Scaled To Be Suitable For Medium-Sized Projects. The Project Will Be Implemented Using An Alliance Model, Where The Selected Contract Partner Will Implement The Construction Of The Project In Cooperation With The Client. The Design Partner Is Procured Separately At The Beginning Of The Projects Development Phase For The Best Of The Project. The Acquisition And Integration Of The Design Partner Into The Project Is Carried Out In The Alliances Best Choice From A Wide Range Of Bidders. The Development Phase Of The Project Will Start In June 2026 And The Implementation Phase In January 2027. In The Project, Vaasan Yhdystie Will Be Improved To A 2+2-Lane Road With Central Guardrail And The Existing Interchanges Will Be Improved. In Addition, The Projects Other Road And Street Network Will Be Improved. The Project Also Improves Pedestrian And Cycling Connections By Building Overpasses And Underpasses. In Addition, Noise Nuisances Are Reduced With Noise Fences And Railings, Which Improves The Comfort Of Living In The Vicinity Of The Project Area. The Project Will Improve Public Transport Connections With New Stop Arrangements And Streamlining Of Traffic. The Project Consists Of One Road Plan.
