The “Electrification And Expansion Aschaffenburg – Miltenberg” Project Is To Be Carried Out As Part Of The Bavarian Electric Mobility Strategy For Rail (Bess). The Line Is To Be Electrified, Double-Tracked In Sections, A Sulzbach Am Main Crossing Station Is To Be Added And The Speed Is To Be Partially Increased. This Is Intended To Increase The Capacity And Flexibility Of The Route So That The Introduction Of A Conflict-Free Half-Hourly Service Is Possible. The Electrification And Expansion Of The Aschaffenburg – Miltenberg Railway Line Is Intended To Implement Various Measures To Decarbonize, Increase Capacity And Accelerate, Thereby Making Local Rail Passenger Transport (Spnv) More Attractive.
