The Tunnel Project Sst04 Is Part Of The Protection Of Copenhagen, Gentofte And Gladsaxe Against Flooding In Connection With Cloudburst Events. The Skybrudtunnel Works By Directing Water From The Waste Water System Directly To The Tunnel When The Water Level In The Waste Water System Is High, As A Result Of Rainfall Events In Copenhagen, Gentofte, Gladsaxe And Frederiksberg. In Cases Where The Admitted Water Volume Does Not Exceed The Tunnels Capacity, The Water Will Be Stored In The Tunnel. When There Is Capacity Again In The Waste Water System And At The Treatment Plant, The Stored Water Will Be Pumped Via Discharge Pumps At The Bottom Of The Shaft At Fsk For Treatment At The Treatment Plant Lynette, Through A Newly Established Discharge Line. If The Rainfall Event Exceeds The Tunnels Capacity, The Water Is Directed To Øresund Via The Outlet Construction At Fsk (Fiskerihavnen/Skudehavnen). The Existing Rainwater Network Is Connected To The Cloudburst Tunnel Via Constructions Below Ground, The So-Called Connecting Structures. One Or More Connecting Structures Will Be Established At Most Of The Shafts. At Fiskerihavnen, An Outlet Structure And A Pumping Station Will Be Established, As Well As A Connection To The Existing Waste Water System At The Beach Wing. The Pumping Station Consists Of An Underground Engineering Facility With A Smaller Building Above Ground. There Will Be 15 Different Workplaces. Shafts Are Connected By 12 Tunnel Sections. Overall, 13 Shafts Must Be Constructed, Which Must Be Connected With Approx. 3.2 Km Segment Tunnel And Approx. 7 Km Pipejacking Tunnel. Connecting Structures Must Be Connected To The Shafts And Drainage Lines Must Be Established. In Addition, In Preparation For The Shaft Workplaces, Cable Rerouting For Shaft Workplaces Must Be Carried Out.
