Through This Rfb, The Ministry Is Seeking A Qualified Vendor To Supply The Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (Ofps) With One (1) Digital Slide Scanner, Software Programs, Training And Associated Preventative Maintenance Services And Technical Support. Scope Of Work A Digital Slide Scanner (Often Called Whole Slide Imaging) Is Used To Digitally Capture A Multilayer, Two-Dimensional (And Limited Three-Dimensional Image With Z-Stacking) Of A Tissue Specimen On Prepared Microscopy Slides. The Resultant Digital Images And Associated Software Image Analysis Can Offer Useful Insight Into The Cause And Manner Of Death. Acquired Digital Images May Also Be Used For Obtaining External Expert Consultation, Publication Of Findings In Scientific Journals/Conferences, And The Establishment Of A Digital Archive For Teaching/Continuing Education Without The Risk Of Damage Or Loss Associated With Physical Glass Slides . The Successful Vendor Shall Supply And Deliver One Digital Slide Scanner, Software Programs And Associated Preventative Maintenance Services And Technical Support To The Ofps.
