Prior Information Notice For Water Pumps – Construction Of Solar Pv Power Generation Systems And Replacement And Rehabilitation Of Pump Systems. The Nexus Energy Water Program For Zambia (Newza) Project Aims To Strengthen The Link Between The Energy And Water Sectors. The Project Is Co-Financed By The European Union (Eu) And The Federal Ministry For Economic Cooperation And Development (Bmz) Of The Federal Republic Of Germany Via Kfw. The Newza Program Also Includes Ongoing Projects Co-Financed By The German Federal Government, Namely: • “Urban Water Supply And Sanitation In The Eastern Province, Phase Iv” Program (Bmz No.: 2016 67 328/2018 67 514/2018 70 104) And • Management Of Water Resources And Sanitation For Medium-Sized Cities (Bmz No.: 2020 67 494, 2022 70 023). Newzas Goal Is To Improve Access To Green Energy And Water Supplies For All By Improving The Performance Of Five Zambian Water Utilities: Southern (Lot 1), Chambeshi (Lot 2), Lukanga (Lot 3), Nkana (Lot 4) And Eastern (Lot 5). The Works Will Be Awarded On The Basis Of The Fidic Contract For Facilities And Design-Build Contracts, 1St Edition 1999 (Yellow Book). The Scope Of Work For All Commercial Utilities Is Listed Below. This List Is For Illustrative Purposes Only And Is Not Intended To Be A Complete List. The Scope Of Work Includes: ► Component 1 Solar Pv • Project Management, Planning, Installation And Commissioning Of The Solar Systems Are The Responsibility Of The Contractor • The Land For The Pv Systems Is Provided Either Within The Production/Extraction/Processing Facilities And/Or Other Locations Of The Cu. If The Area Is Not Sufficient, The Property Will Be Secured By The Cu Through Purchase Or Lease • Installation Of Online Monitoring Platforms For Pv Systems, Including Real-Time Data Collection, Transmission (Gprs/Gsm Or Others), Secure Cloud Data Storage And Online Portal Interface (Security Protected) With Display Of Infrastructure Condition/Performance Data At The Site Level • Operation And Maintenance For Up To 2 Years After The Planning And Construction Phase Sub-Component 1A - Grid-Connected Solar Pv Systems • Design And Delivery Of Grid-Connected Solar Power Systems For The Existing Water Production/Water Abstraction/Water Treatment Plants And/Or Other Locations Of The Cu. The Size Of The Pv Systems Is Limited By The Capacity Of The Existing Low/Medium Voltage And Transformer Systems. • This Includes Installation Of Solar Pv Modules, Junction Boxes, Cabling, Filters (If Required), Inverters, Busbar Extensions And Low Voltage Compartments (If Required). • Conduct Site Measurements Of Electricity Data To Compare Electricity Consumption Before And After Works. For Locations Where Pumps Are Being Renovated, Assessment Of The Share Of Annual Consumption After Pump Renovation. Subcomponent 1B – Hybrid Solar Pv System
