The City Of Bad Münstereifel Is Located In The Federal State Of North Rhine-Westphalia, Euskirchen District. With Its 57 Districts And Residential Areas And Almost 19,000 Inhabitants (As Of December 2023), The Urban Area Covers A Total Area Of 150.83 Km². With 115 Inhabitants Per Km², The City Of Bad Münstereifel Can Be Classified As Sparsely Populated (For Comparison: The District Euskirchen = 154 People/Km², North Rhine-Westphalia = 532 People/Km², Lower Saxony = 171 People/Km², Saxony-Anhalt = 108 People/Km²). In 2018, The Integrated Urban Development Concept (Isek) Was Approved For The Bad Münstereifel Urban Area And An Urban Development Funding Framework Was Set For The Core City. Since 2018, Various Measures For An Urban Renewal Process Have Been Implemented In This Area With The Help Of Urban Development Funding In Order To Achieve A Positive Development Of The Core City As An Attractive Place To Live, Work And Supply. The Flood Event In July 2021 Hit The City Hard And Changed Essential Conditions. Therefore, The Isek Was Revised In 2024 In The Form Of A Master Plan With An Integrated Update Of The Isek In Order To Successfully Bring The Urban Renewal Process To A Holistic Conclusion In Harmony With The Reconstruction. The Overall Package Of Measures For The Update Includes 7 Sub-Measures And Was Included In The Urban Renewal Program (Step) 2025.
