Work Detail

Tenders are invited for Equipping and Furnishing an Office in the Drug Enforcement Administration - Aden Police. Posted: 10 Dec, 25 Deadline: 15 Dec, 25 Implemented by the Noon Womens Coalition , in partnership with PASS Peace for Sustainable Communities, and funded by Youth Without Borders for Development (YWBOD) and Saferworld, the Takamul project aims to strengthen EU partnerships with civil society and womens coalitions (two civil society coalitions and two womens coalitions) in Taiz and Aden. The goal is to enhance their role as independent and collective actors in governance and development, thereby contributing to long-term social development, economic stability, and peace and security in Yemen. The Takamul project seeks to improve the technical, administrative, and institutional capacities of the targeted coalitions by conducting capacity assessments, designing capacity-building programs based on the assessment findings, and then providing funding to these coalitions to implement their community interventions under the guidance and supervision of Youth Without Borders. This approach is rooted in sustainability principles, strengthening the independent role of Yemeni civil society and womens coalitions in Taiz and Aden through a strategy that enhances their technical, administrative, and institutional capacities. Therefore, the Noon Feminist Bloc, within the Takamul project, designed the Drug Prevention Project as a starting point to combat human suffering (establishing an Information Unit for the Drug Control Administration) DIU, which seeks to address the security and technological problems facing the Drug Control Administration in Aden Governorate. The project aims to create an electronic database interface for the Drug Control Administration - Aden Police, in addition to providing initial testing materials to detect drug users, and equipping the Drug Control Administration with the necessary devices, equipment and furniture. The projects main activities include the following: 1. Design a comprehensive and secure electronic database interface for the Anti-Narcotics Department to record data on suspects, seizures, and types of drugs. 2. Train male and female staff in the Anti-Narcotics Department on using the database interface and analyzing data effectively. 3. Improve the work environment in the Anti-Narcotics Department by providing it with the necessary tools, equipment, and supplies, and supplying preliminary testing materials for analyzing samples. 4. Produce a comprehensive documentary film highlighting all phases of the project implementation and documenting its impact on enhancing the capabilities of the Anti-Narcotics Department Aden Police. Important note: PASS has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), in accordance with its safeguarding policy and safeguarding principles to which all employees, and anyone who has any relationship with the organization, are bound.
