Specific Activities And Expert Assignments Will Be Defined Progressively Based On Partner Requests. Long-Term Energy Planning Objective And Scope The Goal Is To Improve The Quality And Effectiveness Of Long-Term Energy And Power System Expansion Planning To Support Low-Carbon And Sustainable Development. Approach Effective Energy Planning Rests On Three Main Pillars: - Governance And Consultation: Establish Clear Mandates, Responsibilities, And Coordination Structures To Guide Planning Exercises And Ensure Stakeholder Participation. - Scenarios And Modelling: Develop Data-Driven, Participatory Modelling Scenarios That Reflect National Development Goals Such As Decarbonization, Access To Energy, Economic Growth, And Equity. Reliable Data Management And Transparency Are Essential To Achieving Credible Outcomes. - Adoption And Communication: Ensure The Outputs Of Planning And Modelling Are Clearly Communicated To Policymakers, Investors, And The Public Through Implementation Plans That Outline Steps, Responsibilities, And Timelines.
