Expression of Interest for Supporting Moldovas EU Legal Alignment for Electronic Freight Transport Information (e-FTI) The Government of Moldova (GoM) is currently taking pro-active steps toward EU accession and alignment of national frameworks with the European Unions legislation and requirements. The project will assist the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova (further referred to as the Ministry) with the development and promotion of legal and regulatory changes that align the countrys transport framework with EU requirements. Under this assignment the project will support the transposition of the EU Regulation on electronic exchange of freight transport information (eFTI) and related eFTI legislation of the EU into Moldovas legal framework. This will include the following activities: (i) conduct a comprehensive review of national legislation in the areas covered by the selected EU legal acts in order to identify the existing legal gaps; and (ii) undertake the legal drafting of relevant pieces of national legislation in view of transposing the selected eFTI-related acts of the EU, including provision of comprehensive technical support for the facilitation of the legislation approval process by developing the related explanatory notes and RIA analyses, compliance tables and providing support to stakeholder consultation workshops.
