Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of Busega-Mpigi Expressway (26.7Km) The objective of the assignment is for the Consultant to undertake construction supervision and monitoring of the physical and financial progress of the construction works on behalf of MoWT by ensuring that the works are completed in time within budget and meeting the acceptable Engineering and Safety requirements. Specifically, the consulting services will comprise the following i. Project scope appreciation through checking of the approved designs, completed works and project documents. ii. Supervision of the civil works for the construction of Busega-Mpigi Expressway, as the The Engineer under General Conditions which form part of the Conditions of Contract for Construction for Building and Engineering Works Designed by the Employer (Red book) including during the Defects Liability Inspection, to ensure timely completion and conformity to desired standards and budget. iii. Facilitation of Implementation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMoP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP). iv. To ensure high quality construction with full compliance to the Engineering Design, Drawings, Technical Specifications, and other contract documents within the stipulated timelines. v. Proposing remedial actions to minimise slippages, cost over-runs and delays by the Contractor. vi. To ensure compliance and adherence during construction to all social environmental safeguards requirements prescribed under the contract and, 3.
