Subject Of The Contract: As Part Of The Project, The Existing Gymnasium Will Be Extended By Adding Two Additional Floors For Use As A Secondary School. The Extension Will Be Constructed Using Timber Element Construction. The New/Extended Staircases Will Be Built As Double-Shell Structures In Exposed Concrete. The Two-Story Extension Will Include 12 Classrooms (One Of Which Will Be Equipped As A Learning Space), 7 Group Rooms, And Two Staff Rooms With A Terrace. At The Heart Of The School, A Single-Story Atrium (Open To The Outside Climate) Is Designed. Special Conditions: The Renovation Will Take Place Predominantly During Ongoing Operations. A Complete Closure Of The Gymnasium Is Only Planned For The Duration Of The Timber Construction Work For The Extension Ventilation Systems: The Ventilation Unit Will Be Installed In The Technical Center On The 2Nd Floor, Ensuring Short Duct Runs For Outdoor Air Intake And Exhaust Air Discharge. A Combined Ventilation System Is Planned. Conditioned Air Will Be Supplied At Two Points Per Floor In The Main Circulation Areas Near Floor Level. Extract Air Will Be Captured Near The Ceiling. Classrooms Will Be Ventilated Using A So-Called “Lung Ventilation” Concept: The Conditioned Supply Air Is Introduced Into The Circulation Zone, Which Serves As The Lung. Air Exchange To Classrooms And Group Rooms Will Occur Via Transfer Fans. Only The Wc Rooms And The Cleaning Room Will Be Continuously Supplied And Extracted Through Conventional Ventilation Ducts.
