Construction Work – Tender By Glostrup Vandværk. Background And Scope Of The Tender: Glostrup Vand A/S (Hereafter Builder) Has Decided To Build A New Modern Waterworks, Glostrup Vandværk, To Be Located On The Corner Between Hvissingevej And Essedal, Approx. Two Km North Of Glostrup Station. The New Glostrup Waterworks Replaces The Builders Two Current Waterworks, The Main Waterworks And The Auxiliary Waterworks. During The Construction Of The New Glostrup Waterworks, Water Production At The Main Waterworks And The Auxiliary Waterworks Will Be Maintained, As The Two Works Will Be Shut Down After The Glostrup Waterworks Has Been Built (Decommissioning The Two Existing Waterworks Is Not Part Of The Tendered Contract). The New Waterworks Will Be Established With Two Independent Process Lines Up To And Including Sand Filtration, And Has A Total Pumping Capacity Of 1.66 Million M³/Year, And A Treatment Capacity For Oxygenation And Sand Filtration Of 1.85 Million M³/Year. The Environment, Technology And Property Committee Decided On 3 March 2022 That Glostrup Forsyning/Builder Should Investigate Options To Reduce The Lime Content In Drinking Water In Glostrup Municipality. Krüger A/S Has, Following Instructions From The Client, Prepared A Report With An Analysis Of Opportunities And Limitations (Hereinafter The Report). Based On The Report, The Client Has Recommended To Glostrup Municipality That The Softening Technology Carix (Ion Exchange With Co2) Be Used, Which The Municipal Council In Glostrup Municipality Has Approved On 29 March 2023. The Softening Technology Carix (Carbon Dioxide Regenerated Ion Exchanger) Is A Patented Technology And Krüger A/S Has The Exclusive Rights To Market The Carix Technology In Denmark. The Client Has Therefore, Prior To This Tender, Entered Into A Separate Contract With Krüger A/S For The Design, Installation And Commissioning Of The Carix Softening Plant (Hereinafter The Technology Package). The Winning Tenderer In This Tender (Hereinafter The General Contractor) Must Therefore Coordinate With Krüger A/S. The Tendered Contract Includes The Design And Construction Of Glostrup Waterworks In Accordance With The Tender Basis (See 6.0 Construction Case Description And 7.0 Work Description For The Scope Of The Overall Contract).
