Tenders are invited for External Audit Services Closing Date: 28 Nov 2025 Type: Consultancy Objective of the Audit: We are looking to appoint the services of an auditing firm for the audit of the annual financial accounts and selected project audits for CAN International e.V. for the period 2025-2030. The purpose of the audit of the annual financial statements is to examine whether the financial statements are in accordance with German law and whether project accounting is in accordance with the requirements defined by project donors. Audit Scope: The audit should cover the following issues: Bookkeeping: The systematic auditing of the bookkeeping system in random samples (sample test), checking all financial accounts. Results are recorded in the audit report. Auditing of the balance sheet, deferred income, property statement and income-expenditure statement. Audit of project reports in accordance with the requirements defined by donor agencies . CAN International envisages to include a complete financial overview of the project portfolio and its development in its annual financial statement from 2026 onwards. This overview should be audited as well, including sample tests. List of annexes to the audit report Balance sheet as of 31st December with comparative figures for the previous year Income statement for the year under review with comparative figures for the previous year Statement of fixed assets Development of the project portfolio Extracts from the report in English General Conditions of Contract The auditing firm will get a draft balance sheet, income statement and the statement of fixed assets as prepared by CAN Internationals tax consultant.
