Tenders Are Invited For Identification Thermal Simulation And Design Specification For Passive Cooling & Energy Efficiency Retrofitting In Low/Middle-Income Housing In Phnom Penh Chill Consortium Background And Responsibilities Geres: Established In 1976, Geres Is A French-Based Ingo Specialized In Accompanying The Energy Transition In A Dozen Countries. It Focuses On The Key Areas Of Access To Energy, Energy Efficiency, Renewables, And Climate-Energy Policies. Geres Has Had A Permanent Office In Cambodia Since 1994. Geres Has An Established Track Record In Implementing Projects Around Sustainable Building Practices, Energy Efficiency, And Thermal Comfort. Role And Responsibilities: Lead Applicant: Geres Ingo Through Its Established Branch In Cambodia (To Be Funded By This Grant): Responsible For Project Management, Implementation, Coordination, And Specific Expertise, In The Development Of Technical Solutions, Replication Of Best-In-Class Practices, Social Engineering, As Well As Gender And Inclusion Mainstreaming. Geres Will Also Be Responsible For Establishing A Robust Monitoring And Evaluation System To Measure The Effectiveness And Impacts Of The Project Interventions Throughout The Project Lifecycle. Live & Learn Cambodia (Llc): Llc Recently Co-Developed With Geres Training Modules And Materials For Sensitizing The Population On Climate Issues And Heat Stress Management. They Have Successfully Conducted Behavioral Change Campaigns Involving Over 6,000 Individuals, Focusing On Building Soft Skills And Supporting Sustainable Practices. Relevant Tools Co-Developed With Llc. Role And Responsibilities: Responsible For Contributing Technical Expertise, Community Engagement, And Local Knowledge. Llc Will Also Participate In Monitoring Field Activities And Collecting Data To Assess Outcomes At The Community Level. Institute Of Technology Of Cambodia (Itc): Installation Testing Commissioning Has Expertise In Engineering And Technology, Which Will Be Instrumental In Analyzing Energy Use Patterns, Developing Technical Solutions For Retrofitting, And Conducting Research On Energy-Efficient Practices. Their Faculty Members And Researchers Can Contribute Valuable Insights Into The Design And Implementation Of Passive Cooling Strategies And Sustainable Construction Materials. Installation Testing Commissioning Has Experience In Providing Training And Capacity-Building Programs. The Recently Deployed Low Carbon Building Training Program Will Play A Vital Role In Training Craftsmen, Smes, And Engineering Students Involved In The Project On Energy-Efficient Practices, Construction Techniques, And The Application Of Innovative Solutions. Role And Responsibilities Responsible For Providing Technical Expertise, Research Support, And Academic Collaboration. Itc Will Also Be Involved In Analyzing Collected Data And Contributing To Impact Evaluation Using Rigorous Research Methodologies. 3/4 2. Consultancy Service The Consortium Will Closely Collaborate With The Service Provider To Ensure That The Chill Projects Research Tasks Are Executed Effectively. The Service Provider(S) Will Use Modelling Software To Assess The Potential Cooling Solutions For The Typical Houses And Ensure They Allow For Improving Thermal Comfort And Decreasing Energy Consumption. The Service Provider Will Engage With Geres And Local Partners Like Live & Learn Cambodia (Llc) And The Institute Of Technology Of Cambodia (Itc) Through Coordination Meetings. The Service Provider(S) Will Submit Progress Reports, Draft Deliverables For Review.
