Tenders Are Invited For Renewal Of Arkadiankatu Bridge, Complete Contract

The Arkadiankatu Bridge In The Center Of Helsinki Will Be Completely Renewed. The Current Bridge Dates From 1924, And It Has A Reinforced Concrete Slab Girder Frame. In The Surface Structure And Walls, Parallel And Transverse Lower Reinforcement Beams On The Bridge, So That The Entire Structure Is Made Up Of The Grid Structure That Is Reinforced By The Tiler. The Grating Structure Is Covered With Reinforced Concrete Cladding Panels On The Bridges Roof And On The North Wall, While The South Wall Is Covered By A Stone Wall Built On Top Of The Rock. In The Middle Of The Bridge Are Two Pairs Of Tram Rails, Which Are Dismantled When The Old Bridge Is Dismantled And Rebuilt In Conjunction With The New Bridge. The New Bridge Will Be Built On The Current Site After The Demolition Of The Old Bridge. The New Structure Is A 1-Span Reinforced Concrete Cantilever Slab Bridge With Span Dimensions Of (1.2) + 12.8 + (1.2) Meters. The Useful Width Ranges From 46.5 To 50.8 Meters (The Dimensions May Still Be Refined). The Main Girder Of The Bridge Is A Two-Way Bearing3 Reinforced Concrete Slab, With End Beams The Width Of The Entire Deck At The Ends. The Structural Thickness Of The Superstructure Is 900 Mm. The Bridge Is Founded On The Western Support T1 On Concrete-Filled Steel Pipe Piles To Be Drilled, And On The Eastern Support T2 On The Corner Retaining Wall. The Southern Ground Support Will Be Completely Rebuilt, While On The Northern Side Drill Piles And Cable Relocations Will Be Implemented. The New Bridge Is Wider And Slightly Longer Than The Current One. During The Construction Work, The Lane Under The Bridge, A Busy Main Cycling Route, Is To Be Kept Open For The Entire Construction Period, With Minor Exceptions.
