25-072 911 Telephony System Replacement . Notice Is Hereby Given By The City Of Calgary (“The City”) Of Its Intent To Continue The Existing Contractual Agreement With Intrado Life & Safety Canada Inc. For An Additional Period Of Up To Two (2) Years, In Effect From 2027 October 16 To 2029 October 15. Given The Critical Nature Of The 911 Ip Telephony System In Supporting Emergency Response Operations Across City Agencies, This Extension Will Ensure Continuity Of Service And Uninterrupted Emergency Communications. The City Anticipates Initiating A New Competitive Request For Proposal (Rfp) Process In 2028, With The Goal Of Implementing A New Ip Telephony System By 2029. The Extended Agreement With Intrado Will Remain In Effect Until The Successful Deployment And Operational Readiness Of The New System.
