The City Of Calgary (The City) Is Seeking Information On Existing And Emerging Secondary Markets For Recyclable Wood Waste Collected At City Waste Management Facilities. Input Received Through This Request For Information (Rfi) Will Inform The City’S Planning And May Support A Future Competitive Procurement Such As A Request For Proposal (Rfp). This Rfi Is Exploratory. It Is Not A Solicitation For Bids, And It Will Not Result In An Award.Through This Rfi The City Aims To:1.Understand Current And Potential Secondary Markets For Clean Wood Waste And Green Wood.2.Identify Specifications And Acceptance Requirements For These Markets, Including Contamination Tolerances And Preferred Preparation.3.Understand Feasible Processing Methods, Logistics, And Capacity Constraints.4.Gather Non Binding Information On Cost Structures, Pricing Approaches, And Possible Cost Recovery Models.5.Identify Opportunities For Collaboration, Innovation, And Risk Reduction.
