Government Services – Recording, Assessment And Mapping Of Benthic Species And Biotopes - Coordination, Biotope Cadastre, Biotope Mapping And Effect Monitoring North Sea (Kobik). This Research Project Aims To Support The Bfn In Fulfilling Its Legal Tasks And National And International Obligations With Regard To The Recording, Mapping And Assessment Of Benthic Species And Habitats, Which Are Provided For By The Msrl And The Ffh-Rl And, More Recently, The W-Vo. The Data For Benthic Species And Biotopes For The North And Baltic Seas Are Collected Separately And Evaluated By Different Contractors. This Project Serves The Necessary Coordination And Consolidation Of All Bfn Research Projects Historically Assigned To The Ewz-P4 “Benthos” And The Data Collected Within Their Framework (In Addition To The Project Itself, These Are The Projects “Benthmon Nordsee” With The Awi And “Benthos” With The Iow). The Main Focus Areas Are Also Gis Management, The Continuation Of The Development And Maintenance Of A Biotope Cadastre And The Bfn Benthos Database (Including Its Quality Assurance), The Continuation Of The Comprehensive Biotope Mapping In The German Eez Of The North Sea And The Implementation Of Part Of The Effect Monitoring With A Focus On The Fishing Exclusion Areas In The Nsg Of The German Eez Of The North Sea.
