It Is Necessary To Acquire A Molecular Interaction Analyzer Using Surface Plasmon Resonance Or Spr (Surface Plasmon Resonance). This Type Of Technology Allows The Analysis Of Molecular Interactions In Real Time Without The Need To Use Any Type Of Labeling (Radioactivity, Fluorescence, Etc.). This Type Of Technology Does Not Exist At The University Of The Balearic Islands (Uib). This Spr Equipment Will Require Computer Control, Which Implies That It Is Necessary To Provide The Computer Equipment Described In The Ppt. Spr Is A Powerful Analytical Technique That Can Be Applied To The Study Of Different Aspects In A Variety Of Areas Of Knowledge. Its Main Application Is The Study Of Biomolecular Interactions. Below Are Some Of The Main Applications In Which Uib Research Groups Would Be Interested: 1.-Kinetic Analysis Of Biomolecular Interactions: Spr Technology Can Be Used To Analyze The Kinetics Of Interactions Between Biomolecules. Therefore, It Can Be Used To Study The Affinity, Binding Kinetics (Association And Dissociation Constants) And Specificity Between Biomolecules Such As Proteins, Peptides Or Nucleic Acids And Small Molecules. 2.-Evaluation Of Possible Drugs: Typically, Spr Analysis Has Been Widely Used For The Discovery And Study Of Low Molecular Weight Molecules With Pharmacological Potential.
