Tenders are invited for Obtaining Vehicles Light & Heavy (Vehicles) on Hire Basis CONDITIONS: 1. Self prepared applications as per the below specimen form should be duly perfected and sent by registered post to reach the District Secretary, District Secretariat, Kalutara before 10.12.2025. The top left-hand corner of the envelope containing the applications should be marked as "Registration of suppliers of goods and services / contractors for the year 2026. Bids received late will not be considered. 2. Applications are invited from institutions and contractors established within Kalutara District for Item Nos. 01, 02 and 03 below. 3. Every applicant should pay a sum of Rs. 500/- per each item for which registration is sought. The receipt obtained from any Bank of Ceylon branch for the payment of this sum in favour of District Secretarys A/C No. 7041751 at Kalutara Branch of Bank of Ceylon should be attached to the application. Registration fees will not be refunded. 4. Separate applications should be submitted for each item and these could be enclosed in one and the same envelope. 5. District Secretary reserves the right to register or not to register the applicants. 6. Generally, quotations will be called from registered suppliers and contractors and goods and services will be obtained and contracts will be awarded. However, when there are no sufficient registered suppliers, the right to call quotations from other sources and award the supplies and contracts is reserved with the District Secretary. 7. Action will be taken to remove the names of suppliers who tail to quote when requested, who fail to supply goods within the stipulated time when ordered and who fail to supply goods as per the samples submitted from the list of registered suppliers without any intimation. 8. In emergencies, goods should be supplied on credit basis and arrangements will be made to settle the bills within one months period from the date of supply. 9. Preference will be given to applicants who carry out their businesses within the Western Province.
