Expression of Interest for Air Ambulance And Transfer Services Lot 1 – Pre Hospital Care Clinical Hems Response For Patients At Scene Who Require Extraction To Either Nobles Hospital Or A Uk Specialist Centre. The Aircraft Used For Provision Of This Service With Capacity And Suitable Equipment For The Handling Of Patients. Lot 2 – Inter Hospital Transfer & Repatriation Air Ambulance Service For Patients Who Are Not Able To Travel On A Scheduled Flight Or Boat And Who Require Medical Attention During The Transfer Provided By Qualified Air Ambulance Transfer Practitioners, Or Who Require The Support Of Health Staff During The Transfer. Historically There Are In The Region Of 350 Return Flights Per Annum, Covering Emergency And Routine Patients. The Service Predominantly Operates Flights From Isle Of Man Airport To The North West Of The Uk, However There Are Occasional Transfers To Other Destinations Within The Uk (E.G. The Midlands Or South East England). A Transfer Can Be Required At Any Time Which Means That A Contractor Must Be Able To Provide The Service 24 Hours A Day, 365 Days A Year, Although It Should Be Noted That 80% Of Flights Have Been Between 0630 And 1800. The Contractor Must Be Ready For Take-Off From Isle Of Man Airport Within 90 Minutes Of Notification For Priority 1 Cases (Around 10% Of Those Requiring The Service Over The Last Two Years). Between 90 And 180 Minutes For Priority 2 Cases (20-25%) And By Agreement With The Board Thereafter. Nb: For Lots One And Two, Only Operators Holding A Current Uk Caa Issued Air Operator’S Certificate (Aoc) Or Air Transport Licence (Atl) As Applicable Will Be Eligible For Inclusion In The Invitation To Tender. Interested Parties Will Be Required To Provide Evidence Of Eligibility At The Expression Of Interest Stage. Lot 3 – Uk Road Ambulance Provision Provision Of Road-Based Ambulance To Transport Patients, Staff And Clinical Equipment From Liverpool/Hawarden Airports And Other Destination Hospitals. Organise Transport For Clinical Staff And Equipment From The Destination Hospital Back To The Airport. Nb: For Lot 3, Only Suppliers Holding Current Care Quality Commission Registration Will Be Eligible For Inclusion In The Invitation To Tender. Interested Parties Will Be Required To Provide Evidence Of Eligibility At The Expression Of Interest Stage.
