Scope Of The Subject Of The Order - Winter Road Maintenance (Zud): 1) Winter Road Maintenance Is Understood As: Snow Removal Consisting In Removing Snow From The Road, Bus Bays, Sidewalks And At Least Half The Width Of The Roadsides And Preventing Black Ice By Sprinkling Roughening Materials (Sand And Salt). The Works Should Be Adapted To The Existing Weather Conditions. Efforts Should Be Made To Reduce Salt Consumption When Combating Winter Slipperiness For Environmental Protection Purposes, Pursuant To Annex No. 3 To The Swz (Regulation Of The Minister Of The Environment Of October 27, 2005 On The Types And Conditions Of Use Of Agents That May Be Used On Public Roads, Streets And Squares). However, A Layer Of Icy Snow Causing Slipperiness Should Not Be Allowed To Build Up! There Is Also An Absolute Ban On Narrowing The Road Lane By Improperly Clearing Snow From The Roads. 2) If It Is Necessary To Clear Snow From Roads Not Included In The List (Appendix No. 4 To Swz - List And Scope Of Municipal Roads), Emergency Maintenance May Be Possible, Based On A Telephone Or Written Notification. 3) The Contractor Will Keep A 24-Hour Duty Book In Which He Will Regularly Enter Existing Weather Conditions And The Type Of Service Performed. 4) The Contractors Obligation Is To Report Daily To The Ordering Party The Detailed Scope Of Services Performed From The Previous Day - A Report By 9:00 A.M. - To The E-Mail Address: [email protected] Failure To Submit A Report On A Given Day Will Be Treated As A Day Without The Occurrence Of Atmospheric Phenomena Requiring The Provision Of Services, And Consequently Without The Need To Use Equipment To Combat Slipperiness Or Snow Removal.
