Tenders are invited for LISA Mechanical Pressure Regulator Procurement A Mechanical Pressure Regulator for Hall Effect Thrusters is managing the propellant pressure reduction to the required lower pressure level needed for the xenon flow controller (XFC) operation. Hall Effect Thrusters rely on a precise mass flow from XFC at controlled pressures to maintain consistent thrust and prevent damage to the thruster components. The MPR shall operate with inlet pressure ranges from 186 bar to 5 bar and therefore can meet the needs of the Transfer Propulsion at 186 bar MEOP. Two Xenon MPRs (one primary and one redundant) will be used in parallel branches within the transfer propulsion system (TPS). Each MPR should have individually calibrated regulation set point and lockup, with enough separation to avoid regulation interference. The procurement of the Mechanical Pressure Regulator will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements. Additional requirements on geo-return may be specified in the ITT data package. it is furthermore intended to extend the present ITT to individual companies in the US as further specified in the geographic return requirements of the ITT cover letter.Read more Tender Link : https://esastar-publication-ext.sso.esa.int/nonEsaTenderActions/filter/open
