Swiss International Air Lines Ag Is Planning To Operate Its Own New Composite Shop At Zurich Airport In Order To Meet The Growing Need For Maintenance And Repair Of Fiber-Reinforced Composite Materials. With The Introduction Of The Airbus A350, Which Has A Particularly High Proportion Of Such Components, Maintenance Requirements Increase Significantly. To Date, This Work Has Been Carried Out In Rented Premises, Which Leads To Dependencies, Limited Flexibility And Higher Rental Costs. A Specially Designed Infrastructure - Which Will Be Built In Basic Form By Flughafen Zürich Ag - Is Intended To Ensure More Efficient Processing In The Future. The Project Envisages The Replacement Of The Existing Extension Building T58 On The West Side Of Shipyard 3 With A Larger Workshop Building. The New Building Is Divided Into Three Separate Halls For Ground Support Equipment (Gse Hall), The Composite Shop Hall And A Storage Hall. In The Composite Shop Of The T58 Workshop Building (T3), Highly Specialized Cabins For The Processing Of Composite Materials, Which Are Intended As A Tenant Fit-Out, Will Be Installed. In Addition, The Existing Exterior Gates And The Adjacent Escape Route Doors On The West-Side Exterior Facade Of Shipyard 3 Will Be Replaced And Sized According To The New Requirements. The New T58 Workshop Building (T3) Is Intended To Create A Modern Workshop That Ensures Sustainable, Efficient And Environmentally Friendly Handling Of Work Processes. Due To The Prospective Dismantling Of Shipyard 3, Its Use Is Limited To 10 Years.
