Request for proposals for Procurement of Mobile Solar Power Training Units 2. Scope of Work The selected supplier will be responsible for the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of Mobile Solar PV Power Training Units that meet the technical and operational specifications provided in this ToR. Specifically, the supplier will: 3. Supply and Deliver: Deliver fully assembled or semi-assembled units to designated TVET centers and partner locations across Somalia/Somaliland. 4. Installation and Testing: Conduct on-site installation, testing, and quality assurance to confirm full functionality. 5. Training and Capacity Building: Conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) session for partner trainers on use, safety, and basic maintenance. 6. Documentation and Warranty: Provide user manuals, maintenance guides, warranty certificates, and an after-sales service plan. All work should adhere to relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards. 7. Technical Specifications Power System Components Monitoring, Safety & Portability Training & Support Tools Solar PV Modules: 100200W total capacity, monocrystalline, weather-resistant with MC4 connectors. Monitoring Instruments: Digital meters for voltage, current, and power output with charge/discharge indicators and LCD/LED display. Training Manuals & Guides: Illustrated manuals, wiring diagrams, and practical exercises (English & Somali). Charge Controller: PWM or MPPT, with protections (overcharge, deep discharge, reverse polarity, short circuit). Casing: Suitcase-style portable case with wheels and handles; weather-resistant and lockable compartments. Accessories: Multimeter, screwdrivers, wiring kit, and other basic tools for assembly and troubleshooting. Battery Bank: Deep-cycle Gel or LiFePO4, 12V/50Ah, rechargeable with Battery Management System (BMS). Safety Features: Circuit breakers, fuses, grounding, surge protection, and emergency cut-off switch. Training Loads: DC and AC loads (LED lights, small fan, USB charging, and radio or mini pump). Inverter: Pure sine wave, 400 500W, 220V AC output with USB ports and low-battery cut-off. 1. Deliverables The supplier is expected to deliver: 2. Twenty (20) fully functional Mobile Solar PV Training Units, meeting all technical specifications; 3. Detailed product manuals, wiring diagrams, and safety instructions in English (and Somali if available); 4. Warranty certificates covering all equipment for a minimum of 12 months; 5. A ToT session for partner trainers on assembly, safety, troubleshooting, and maintenance; 6. Delivery and installation report confirming completion, functionality, and acceptance by Shaqodoon; and 7. After-sales support plan outlining service timelines and contact points. 8. Expected Outcomes Increased access to hands-on renewable energy training in TVETs and rural areas; Improved technical skills of youth and trainers in solar PV installation and maintenance; Enhanced institutional capacity for practical training delivery; and Increased community awareness of renewable energy opportunities. 9. Timeline The procurement, delivery, and installation process must be completed within six (6) weeks from the date of contract signing. 10. Supplier Requirements Suppliers must demonstrate: Valid registration and business license in Somalia/Somaliland; Proven track record in supplying renewable energy or technical training equipment; Capacity to deliver high-quality solar kits meeting international standards in Hargeisa, Moqdisho and Garowe; Ability to provide ToT, warranty, and after-sales support; and Delivery capacity within the stipulated timeframe. 11.
